The biggest night on the Isaac calendar
Every year the Mayor’s Charity Ball brings our region together for one very good reason — to raise money for causes that matter close to home. Hosted by Mayor Kelly Vea Vea on behalf of the Isaac Regional Charity Fund, the 2026 Ball supported the Country Universities Centre Isaac and BMA CQ Rescue.
Moranbah Blooms & Events has been part of this night for twelve years, as both Event Manager and sponsor. Twelve years of run sheets, floral installations, late nights and early starts — and in 2026, the whole thing again from the first supplier quote through to the last chair being packed away on Monday morning. It is far and away the proudest project on our books, and we would do it all again tomorrow.
What we looked after
- End-to-end event coordination, budgets and supplier management
- Full floral design and installation — table centrepieces, entrance and photo backdrops, stage and bar florals
- Room styling — ceiling draping, festoon and fairy lighting, lanterns, linen, furniture and table settings
- Entertainment sourcing, plus travel and accommodation logistics for performers and crew
- Signage, printed programs, menus, seating plans and table numbers
- Coordination of every fundraising activity on the night — auction, raffle, Lucky Envelope and Last Man Standing
- Wait and bar staff, drawn from local juniors and casuals, supporting the Isaac Events Centre team
Behind the polish there were four days of bump-in, a road closure, a coldroom convoy, a ceiling installed by hand and a very early Sunday start to get everyone to their flights. Our crew were extraordinary, and the floor and kitchen teams ran like clockwork.
Navy, gold and blooms
The 2026 palette was deep navy and warm gold, softened with blush and butter-cream roses, delphinium, lisianthus and stock, and finished with gilded ginkgo and hand-dyed palm. Twenty-six tables, a full entrance installation, a photo backdrop and a stage surround — every stem conditioned and built in our Moranbah workroom.
